Honest review — who this is for
The Circle Joy frother stands out from the crowded handheld frother market for one reason: three detachable whisks, each designed for a different job. The fine whisk produces genuinely silky microfoam from whole milk and oat milk — we tested both. The flat whisk handles matcha and protein shakes without the clumping problem you get with standard frother heads. The spiral whisk is the all-rounder for cappuccinos and lattes.
The rechargeable battery (micro USB) holds enough charge for around 30–40 uses between top-ups, which is more than enough for daily use. The speed control is a genuine quality-of-life upgrade over single-speed frothers — start slow for oat milk to prevent splashing, then increase to build the foam.
The storage box is a legitimately useful addition rather than just a marketing bullet point — the whisks click in securely and the whole thing fits in a jacket pocket or washbag. One honest note: the build feels slightly plastic-y compared to premium frothers like Aerolatte at three times the price. For the money though, this is exceptional value.

Pros & cons
✅ 3 whisks = genuine multi-purpose tool, not just a frother
✅ Speed control = better microfoam, less splashing with oat milk
✅ USB rechargeable — no battery faff
✅ Travel storage box included and actually useful
✅ Outstanding value at this price
❌ Build feels slightly plastic compared to premium frothers

Bottom line
If you want café-quality foam at home or on the go and don't want to pay £80 for a steam wand attachment, the Circle Joy is the most capable frother we've tested under £30. The three-whisk system means it replaces multiple single-purpose tools, and the storage box makes it genuinely travel-friendly. A strong addition to any portable coffee kit.
